Hey my uncle has a 2000 (might be 2001) GU Turbo deisel.....
Today all of a sudden he started it and started talking to the painter and after afew minute its stopped.... :?

Wouldnt start..... so we hand pumped the fuel pump and its started but trying to accelerate it just wont.... :? it would try to rev but wouldnt do nuthing.... this was all under no load.... there is white smoke coming out the exhaust (not heaps but its noticable)

The vehicle is undriveable as it just runs out of puff and wont rev....

Its off now and we not intending on doin anything with it.... but mY uncle uses this car everyday with out it skipping a beat.... hope its just a fuel pump and nuthing wrong with the engine internals :?:

Cheers
Anthony

Well i checked the lines fromt he tank to the pump and could find any signs or holes or wear... so i hand pumped it till i couldnt hand pump it no more (hoping if it was junk in the lines afterwards it would be forced through)... started the car... bit of black smoke (over fueled) then perfect :?

Everything seems to be fine :D

Check the thimble filter where the fuel line bolts onto the fuel pump and how long since he changed the fuel filter? My filter was meant to have been changed but not long after the service it started missing like a petrol. Changed the filter and no worries. :D
