okay, i thought i red somewhere that there is a difference between the LSD offered in a 4.2L and a 2.8TD

now my question is, what is the difference between the 2?

any help appreciated,

2.8 lsd requires a higher torque to slip compared to a 4.2 which is more than half the torque to slip - put simply... the 2.8 is more effective being an LSD than the 4.2

rightyo, you did the transplant from the 2,8 to the 4.2, how did you find the limo in all condtions, heaps better for traction?

Is it really a different diff setup, just shimming or does it appear to work better just because it is a different ratio.
GQ LSD is pretty damn good, be hard to pick the difference on the trail I think.
Maybe the 2.8 one was just less km?
My 350,00km GQ one appeared to be working well, but then my tightened up front LSD made it look pretty ordinary.
