Timing Belt for 2.8 DL Diesel Rocky

Was wondering if anyone can help. Am in the process of changinging the timing belt on a Rocky (Australian) 2.8L Diesel and having never done it before have a few questions.
It looks as though I have to take the pulley off the crankshaft in order to remove the timing case cover, This appear to be held on with a 24mm bolt, but before I start forcing anything does anyone know
a) if this is correct
b) In order to take the bolt out how do I hold the crank stationary - I have made up a tool that I can screw on in place of the fan belt pulley. Is this OK
c) the bolt into the crank, is this a normal thread CCW to remove, or the opposite of normal bolts CW to remove.
d) anything else I should know or look out for,
Just bought the beast 489K on the clock and apparantly never had the timing belt replaced. - wish me luck
