Had a bit of a search and no real info came up.
I want to rebody a GQ shorty with an aluminium Jeep flatfender body. What sort of legal issues will this entail. Anyone had any success legally putting another body on a vehicle?

You will have to meet the requirements for GQ. For example, seat belt mounts, windscreen demister etc.
There are a quite a few re-bodied range rovers getting around, usually with series land rover bodies. Still classed as range rovers.

You can go pre adr if you go range rover ,
But as Bush said its all in the year of the items your putting together
If you use a 90 up zook body on a 88 Q chassis it will probly go thru ,
Your flat fender won,t have a vin plate , spose you could tell them its a
1948 bod or somthing
Theres some little things that may catch you out like padded dash

ect ,
you,ll have to resaerch the adr,s on the early GQ and figure out what is covered in the body area.
Mine will go thru But im thinking of rebiulding the front clip to incorporate a zook grill , needs this i think to qualify for the legends class , Before i present it for the Cert engineering
Somthing that stuffed me up a bit Grimbo CCDA won,t let you compete in it if you biuld it ,
It can be done ,Of course Mexican law may be differant
