Hi, 1st post, what would be the wall thickness of rear lower control arm on a '91' GQ SWB (it's not solid is it). Was thinking of cutting in half and inserting solid bar in centre to lengthen 16mm (2" lift), welding and then covering in angle and more welding.
Or does anybody know where to buy longer(cheezy) in brisbane, tried to ring cheezy.
Thanks in advance
Craig

the arms I've seen done, have been cut in half and have been sleeved over the outside of the original arms with thicker steel, and welded to the bush ends.
BTW, Cheezy has closed his doors to the public, you will have to go to a reseller for him.

I've just fitted snake racking adjustable lower trailing arms.....check them out on their website
www.snakeracing.com.au ...........not cheap, but you will be doing well to bend them.
Cheers,
Martin

Wall thickness on the stock 1's is absolutely pathetic, something like 2 mm wall seamed tubed.

I can vouch that the standard arms are crap and the weakest point on a great truck. I broke two lowers, one upper and the front of the pinion clean off all in one go just by slipping offa rock .I have now fitted 3rds lower arms and haven't looked back.
