40 series ratios

A mate is puttin a 40 series diff in the rear of his lux and wants to match the rear ratio to the existing front 4.8...
can u git the cruise diff in a 4.8??
I know u can git a 4.88, but thats no good

after market only, .08 isnt going to make a differance.

most 40series diff's i've seen are all 4.11 (9x37)
maybe the diesel BJ's are 4.8s?

yeah 4.11 is the standard on the 40s.
but you can get others aftermarket, and the stout ratios.

A mate is running 4.88s in his 40. but from memory it is in 60 diffs so not sure about whats around to suit 40 diffs

And the ratio`s in the after market cruiser and lux will be both 4.875

well he is looking to get rid of them in favour of deisel gearbox or sumfin, can ask if wanted
