i need a teacher/fabricator!

help! At over 2 grand, a kaymar rear step and dual carrier is out of my league in a big way and vaguely insulting too. is there anyone in brisbane who can help me fabricate, and teach me along the way to do welding, a rear bar. I will be more than willing to pay as i can't see it getting anywhere near 2 grand.
