GQ Clutch Woes

i thought my clutch was rooted because it was slipping, but only intermittantly.
However i have since discovered this:
there was no clutch pedal freeplay, more preload than anything(about 10mm. so i adjusted this out. now i have about 5mm freeplay. i got under the car to check that there was freeplay in the chutch fork but it is tight as.
so to my thinking either the slave cylinder is partly seized, or the master cylinder will not release pressure from the line.

anybody with similar experiences or suggestions???

have just had my clutch replaced as it was doing exactly the same thing. slipping only sometimes maybe only a couple of hundred rpms but then not when offroading. mind you i tow a ton trailer every day but it was more often than not it would slip when not towing, had me buggared. to cut a long story short it was fubared , and i would only recomend you get a dakin safari tuff clutch worth the money

has the master Cyliner been changed lately?

i had a prob, where i bought a new master cylinder and the rod was a different length, so the local mechanic changed it over, and there is a dome shaped washer behin a circlip, anyway, he put the washer in the wrong wy and it was holding the clutch on a touch, which on a thousand k trip cause the clutch to fail,

the master hasn't been changed. i have ordered a kit for the slave cos it was weeping. but the clutch feel changed on the way to work this morning. i stopped to check if there was any play in the fork and there was about 2mm. problem solved, i guess it just needed some time to re-adjust. i'll still fit the kit anyway.
thanks for the help guys.
