Couldnt find anything with the search button so a quick question
Does a 35 inch tyre still fit in the spare wheel hole under the car or do you have to put it on the back with a wheel carrier
Cheers fro any help Dave

thats strange coz.... i have 285/75 16's on standard gxl rims, a similar size tyre as a spare does fit underneath, but it hangs down lower.
A friend has done this on his 80, although i still have the standard spare (275/70) which would be much bigger than a 31, which fits fine.
The only spot it seems close to is the tow bar, but the chain setup does allow for a little sideways movement, i.e. bigger tyre.

if you don't have a tow bar you can fit up to a 36" in there but anything wider than a good old 7.50/16 hangs down pretty low.
with tow bar, a 33" will fit, maybe a 34".

Um - nope. with tow bar 33 just squeezes in. 35 has to go in the back or on a carrier.
