Outer Limits 4x4 Board

wanna make a spacer for my front shaft on hilux.. have to acess to drill press, lathes, drop saws, band saws.. all the stuff..

was wondering if anyone has made one for a hilux and knows dimensions and stuff in maybe a cad drawing or sumthin they can send me??

if you have (1) a couple of old diff flanges (2) an old pinion shaft with nut and washer (3) 4 tailshaft bolts (4) an angle grinder (but a lathe will do it more neatly) you can make a much better spacer than a 'puck' style one. cut the splined section off the end of the pinion shaft with enough of the fat section to prevent it being pulled through the flange. cut the 2 flanges to be half the length each of the spacer you need - do it on the lathe and you'll get it nice and square. assemble the spacer, make sure the holes are 45 degrees out of phase with each other if the spacer is short enough for the studs/bolts to foul on each other. you can tune the length of the spacer by cutting more off the flanges or adding some spacers/slices off the leftovers.

no welding required but you could weld it together for extra strength if you wanted. minumum size for this style of spacer is approx 30mm.

have started today on an aluminium puck style one, should have it finished tomorrow.. will post some pics..

Hey slayer, i am getting some machined up made out of CNC T6 Alloy the stuff they make them with on the snake racing site if they dont work out i will have some 4 sale at 30 bucks each

where are you getting them done i need may need one for the front
