Would I do it again YES.

Cost me about 11K.

Engine crate New: $6500.00
Ignition module: $150.00
Fuel pump: $180.00.
Airflow meter $150.00.
Wiring loom $230.00.
Conversion kit marks 4x4: $800.00 inc engine mounts.
Exhaust 3 inch mandrel inc 3" full flow cat $750.00
Electric fans Ex el ford sits rad core perfect. $180.00
Power steering pump from VS V8 $200.00
O2 sensors x2 $160.00
misc items $1500.00

Extra's at my choice: ( not need but I wanted)
High energy oil pan hold 8 lt, has baffles, trap door, windidgetray, crank scrapers,etc.$550.00

Custom Alluminium Rad $800.00

Changed to a new Bosche 90 amp alt $200.00

all brackets to mount alt, power steering & ac I manufactured.

3 weeks of my time.
most time was spent sorting out parts in kit that did not fit.

Bonus was that the clutch on the engine (HSV heavy) fitted the inpiut spline on the RR 5 speed. LUCK.

Sold the old 3.5 for $900.00.

Best thing I ever did to the RR.

Other options I considered:
1: 4.6 RR with haltek/motec ECU 13-15K.
2: 5 lt RR Mod 3.5 engine cost 11-12K.
3: 5.2 lt RR mod 4.6 18K.
4: LS1 Gen 3 6.25k Engine only but torque didnt start untill 3K rpm.
5: vortec 350 chev 5.5 engine only.

Holden stroked 308 to 355 look like the best option.
heaps torque at low revs, reliable, parts availablity, can drive into any Holden dealer and plug into holden test equip.
