No idea if it'll work, but have you considered a citrus based cleaner?

Let us know what works.

Best way i have found is a razor blade, but might be hard to get to in corners. Works well on windscreen though .

ARE YOU SERIOUS
I WOULD NEVER PUT A RAZOR BLADE ANYWHERE NEAR THE PAINT WORK
IF YOU WANT SCRATCHES GO RIGHT AHEAD

BEST WAY @ REMOVE THE TREE SAP WOULD BE WITH WHITE SPIRITS AND A GOOD POLISH LIKE A FEW OTHER PEOPLE HAVE SUGGESTED

I have a feeling he was joking as where the authors of the paint stripper and brake fluid suggestions. :D

A little petrol on a rag gets it off pretty well, then a little polish if needed.

i have just been out scrubbing it - i have some stuff from amway that i have had for ages, i poured heaps into a bucket, filled it with water and have been scrubbing the bonnet with a hand duster brush - i then poured some of the detergent straight onto the bonnet and rubbed that around with my hand and then continued to scrub - has worked a treat.

the roof is the worst, started on that, but looks like this will be a job for the long weekend.

WD40 gets off some overspray paint without scratching it. I painted some trim off one of my vehilces recently and had mine and my wife's mountain bikes in the same garage. The white paint i was spraying got all over our red bikes. Took a while, but the WD40 and a rag took it all off...

I reckon it'd work for sap too, and i don't think it can do any damage.

Eucalyptus oil and cotton wool, because fabric cloth is too absorbant.

3M make a product called "CLEANER CLAY" It`s a putty in block form that`s used by good detailers to remove overspray & grime that`s baked onto your paint. The benefit is you dont damage the duco by cutting the surface. Simply wash car, rub with the cay(keeping clay wet as you go) & you`ll be amazed how much crap comes off!!! Then simply apply a good wak or glaze to stop the sap sticking back on. GOOD LUCK

I manage a body and paint shop and we use denatured alcohal to take sap off.... or you can boil some water and use it with a soft brush, if you don't have any denatured alcohal around. Those are probably the friendlyest way for your paint job. WD40 will work but it will leave a nice lil shinny spot if the rest of the rig is fadded at all and brake cleaner will do some serious damage to paint if left on for any amount of time
