Torsion bar question

Is it normal for one side to be wound up more than the other?

I remember somebody else having the same problem a while back and have just noticed the right side of mine appears to have the bolt wound through a lot further than the left. I haven't measured the ride height, but visually both sides look level.

Maybe its to even the ride out during driving. I know when I got mine done, the guy said the rigth ot slightly higher then the left, when on level ground and unladen, because when your driving, most of the weight is on teh right hand side (driver) so it evens out. This was only 10 - 15mm though so I dont know

Could be the torsion bar adapter is in a different spot on the spline. Mine was. :finger:

So they are splined- which means they could be put in at different angles to start with?

I've never seen them out of a Feroza, the only torsion bars I've mucked around with were in a Civic and I remember they had splines.
