Dodginess in roll bar

Well I was cleaning out the back of my zook and noticed a little something on the roll bar.

The bar going to the back corner had actually been welded together in one spot. Now I'm just wondering, how dodgy is that?

I mean thats probably better than nothing at all, but I'm assuming if anything in the roll bar was going to give out that'd be the weak spot ?

It won't make the bar completely useless though wil it?

If the weld is good it shouldn't matter too much, after all it is welded to the base plates etc.

more than likely the bar would have been sleeved with a smaller tube inside and then butt welded... if this is the case then that is fine...you can check by drilling a small hole through the tube right next to the weld.....then just weld it shut...if there is no tube inside then hopefully whoever did it has ground the ends back at like a 45 deg before butt welding it... this would be strong enough also but not as good... either way check it out and dont risk it by saying that whoever did it first did it right...

I'm mostly concerned because it doesn't look too solid.

I'll check it then.
