Have someone reinforced the part of the frame on a MK, where the front spring hanger of the rear spring is?

If so, how did he do that (pics)?

If not, did anybody have anysuggestion how to do it?

Thanks

My question is why do you want to do it?

Is there a problem that you have in that area? People I know with SWB MQ/MK Patrols don't need to look at that area for reinforcing.

Cheers

I'm planing to use a 3/4 eliptical springs in the rear of the Patrol and the springs will be attached on this mount.

the only spring mount on the MQ/MK chassis that is a weak point ( im not talking about not great positioning ) im talking weakness....
is the front spring front shackle hanger mount.
I have dropped crossmember and different mounts for reverse shackle in there now.

with regards to rear springs on 3/4 elliptical..... ur rear mount will have the top leave bolted to it and no solid mounting, this then negates the use of the hole and crush tube mount through the middle of the chassis at the rear.....

the front mount of the rear spring is strong. there will be no need to modify this for 3/4 elliptical or any leave spring suspension for that matter.

screwy ;)
