Bastards just as i was looking ta LPG too....

to govt!
hmmmm i wonder if there is a low petrol consuming hybrid jobby engine that can power a Fj40 effectively??
hmmm, will the excise make it the same price as ULP?
Wasnt there some environmental positives with LPG, and thats why it was cheaper to promote it??
I could be wrong??

it was cheaper as no-one wanted it and it used to be burnt off as waste.
now that people want it the government will tax it!

this was on the news about 12 months ago.
It will be systematically introduced over the next 7 or 8 years.
I dont think any tax will be introduced for 2 years, then it will be increased until the tax applied to LPG is the same as other fuels.
i cant remember any other details.

Google is your friend
"Beginning in 2008, the government will levy a 2.5 cent per litre excise on LPG. This will eventually rise to 12.5 cents in 2012. "
