Yes i have searched, read and searched about
improvements to make it mare capeable/stronger.

Any ideas will be take with due care and attention(??). ;)

Its a daily driver, To be used and slightly abused.

To pretty to scratch. :D
This way does not matter(within reason)
if it gets used,abused.

welcome to OL mate. alot of your basic information will be in the MQ/MK bible which is a sticky at the top of the nissan page.
if u check out the members rigs also there are some good ideas....

if uve made new shackles u probably shouldnt have any problem breaking them and the mounts are farely strong from standard.

with regards to leaves all you can do is buy a new pair of packs. u must of gotton unlucky wiht your old packs being worn but as a rule leaves don let go unless they are very very sagged and abused....

cheers,

screwy ;)

Thanks for the welcome.

I have replaced the front pack with a
set of reset leaves with dobinson shocks
it sits approx 2"1/2 from when i first got it.

Its got 6 leaves in front & 5 in the rear.
The ride is ok, a bit noddy. But ok when
slow 4wheel'in.(nothing to compare to!)
how many leaves do people run in
simular machines?

TA Ian.
standard offroad pack is usually about 6 leaves in front and 6 in the rear.

commonly see 5 in front and rear....

the MQ/MK towing pack often has as many as 8 in the rear....

u also sometimes see front packs of 4 leaves all long and the same length.

I run 5 in the drivers rear and 4 in the passenger rear cause the motor ( 5 litre V8 ) torques down on that side with the locker in and flatens the leaves more.

i also run 5 in each front side.
