LR have made all of the linkages remote now to reduce cabin noise, and those that have fitted the D1 linkage are complaining about the introduced noise that comes with it. You can get quite a few different aftermarket alternatives to prevent this, be they electric or cable operated. LR for the D2a update have also made the CDL actuation remote, a kit that you can pick up for about $600 from the UK.
