any one used the new ARB locker compressor? they are very small and only for actuating the lockers. I can sell them for $175.00 so they are pretty price effective, but is it worth getting them? who would consider them given the other oned are usless at pumping up a tyre any way?

I would probably consider one when I get lockers just to save the hassle of getting a seperate air tank for my current compressor. Besides I like having my compressor for tyres portable as not everyone who I go wheeling with has one. Plus it is tiny and would fit just about anywhere under the bonnet.

i'd run them purely on lockers only and run an engine driven compressor for pumpin up tyres.

When they are proven i probably will replace my compressor.

Like that they can't be used for tyre inflation. The old one didn't do very well with 35's.

Might even be quiet.

Saw one today at ARB, they are tiny! Sizewize, prob 2/3 length of a house brick, and prob about 1-1.5 kilos.

Doesn't look like it could pump much at all. Perfect for what its designed for though.

A lot of bling for something that'll probably be hidden....

For lockers only.

Do not even consider these for anything else, they are designed as a locker only pump as ARB realised their old POS wasn't good for anyhting else yet twice the space required for nothing.

That would be why they bought Bushranger

A lot of time and effort has gone into designing this for obvious reasons. As far as reliability and toughness go...it sh%ts on the old one...which isn't hard but is still a good thing.

Is 100% for lockers only though as mentioned above.

I will probably run one just for reliability reasons on the locker circuit and leave the tyres seperate or possibly hooked up as a back up.
