is all possible just depends on the size of your wallet. some years back i saw a long wheel base sierra on a range rover chassis and running gear, maybe another option?

depends on what state you are, how much Zook you want to keep, how much $$$ you have, how good your fabrication skills are.

To put a V8 in you will need to upgrade your diffs annd brakes, you will need to strengthen or replace the chassis so why not just get a rangie etc.

One of NAM's projects was going to be a rover V8 powered Zook and the engineer wasn't too keen on thhe strength of the Zook components. Alot of work for a neglible outcome and the possibility of doing it legally are going to be slim and costly

it will be a 2 year project

the plan is to run a lwb sierra chassis widen for gq or 80 series diffs a 304 v8 t700 twin lux cases and a swb hard top cut to a x cab ;)

dont know if it going a head yet as i want to get most of the parts first

seriously why bother. Do as Dozoor has done get a rangie and rebody it with a Sierra. Easier, quicker and cheaper.

If hadfiled can get a 55 chev registered with a merlin V12 in it yoiu can register yours.

Just depends on how much $$$$$$$$$ you want to spend.

Sure, but have you seen the "conditions for use" for the Merlin engined '55. Lets just say he can drive it on the road, but it's not really "road registered" as we know it.

As much as I love sierras, I love their lightness more. by the time you fabbed everything required to run a 304 in a sierra (which will also include stretching the front or heavily modifying the firewall, completely reworking the chassis, whole driveline etcetctec you might as well have just bought a rangie, gq or something else that will take an 8 easier, or has one anyway, because you will pretty much have a car as heavy as a rangie with a really cramped cab, and with heaps of fab that is a pain to fix.

Just buy a bigger car and don't worry about the panel damage.

i think you can stop calling suzukis suzukis when you put in hilux diffs, toy, engine etc...

more i think about it

it would be easy to get a swb gq rolling chassis and stick the x cab sierra body on it instead of widen the sierra chassis and doing all the mods for the gq diff setup what do you have to do to pass it for rego (with different model body to the chassis)

Why bother?

why not just go the GQ, or a lux etc?
