Thoughts on material for Tow points

Post by A1 »

Well ive allbut completed the rear bar for the lowrider ................

And as the way ive built it i couldnt use the original tow point (centre hook) so im now gunna run two points 1 either side ......Dont have the room for a buy style tow hook (bolt on ) as ive shortened the chassis unless i redesign the bar mount point :bad-words: ( dont want to do that)

So im cosiderin using some 15mm m/s plate that hypo has offered me and cut and shape into a reciever kind of setup for a shackle that will protrude through between the upper and lower tubes on the bar sides...........i will then weld aswell as use 1 of the mountin bolts to locate this plate .........

I will allow 20mm around the hole for the shackle pin

wat are your thoughts will this be strong enough .......sorry no pics hope yooos understand
