hey guys im going a 4 link rear on my GQ i plan on making it adjustable so i can play with it to get it right the adjustability will be on the uppers at chassis end (tell me if you think i should have them some where else as well) my question is how much adjustment should i have
as in how high should i make the next adjustment 100mm?
if i have the adjustments to close together will this give no effect in how my 4 link handles? so how far apart should my adjustments be?

(only uppers will be trianglated, arms will be longer by 350mm over standard GQ arms as well)

Do you mean lenght of the arms or the width of the triangulation ??

If for length:

Make both ends adjustable that way you can get twice the adjustment length as rod ends only have a certain amount of thread.

Also if you use a left and right set of threaded rod ends you can loosen the jam nut and rotate the whole arm with out having to unbolt one end of your arm to adjust the length.

Don't bother going overboard with the "adjustability" either, otherwise you may need a different length driveshaft if you effectivly adjust your wheelbase, ie have 2 fixed length arms to set your tail shaft lenght and 2 adjustable arms to play with the pinion angle - having said that there is probably only between 30-40 mm of safe adjustment lenght per rod end anyway.

On width:
Dont forget as you increase the angle you need to lengthen the
arms to keep the same wheelbase.

The other thing to consider is the arms binding as they travel through their arc unless they are parrallel or move in the same plane.

My 2 cents
