for the guys who run the standard outer stub shafts which go into the cv,how do you guys replace them without stripping the hub down.the only way i know of is to use a stick welder and get the rod to arc on the broken part, letting it get stuck on it then giving it a yank.that's a bit hard out in the bush with no welder, anyone got a better/different method?
Did a search but didn't find anything.

if you have dual batteries and some jumper leads you have a welder....
all you need to carry is some welding rods...

Use a good magnet, works 90% of the time.

Yeah mate place the magenet on the end of the new stub axle and put it in and hopefully it pull the broken one out. If not the trusty old welding rods hooked up to the batteries does the trick Cheers
