My 89 MAV LWB and has no stabaliser bars connected.
It has got a 6" spring lift and long travel Rancho`s.
On full travel the springs fallout of their locater at the top, therefore after the travel starts to shorten i have to relocate them back into their spot.
Any suggestions as to what i can do to prevent this?
Regards
Craig

There are 2 ways you can do this. You can tie them to the top and bottom using some flat bar that is bolted to the top and bottom spring hats holding the springs in place or you can tie them to the bottom in the same manner and use spring locating cones like this.

Hold them in with BIIIIIG f**king cable ties or use limiting straps to limit the travel to a length that your springs can take before popping out

Are these the ones that are on the front to be used on the back?

Are you talking front, back or both?

SORRY!
I thought that they were the front ones. Would it be possible to use them on the back?
If i was to do something like this i`d hose clamp them in at the top and put the rubbers at the bottom were the hole is in the spring plate.

These are on the back. I got them from cheezy. They are made to weld to the top like I've done. Depends on what you want to acheive as well. If you tie the spring top and bottom then it will turn into a slope better than if you let it droop. It will still get more flex than having a shorter shock but you will need to tie them in with more than zip ties cause the spring will then be taking the weight, not the shock.

I cannot weld to save my life so the option might be to tie both ends down.Probably with hose clamps.I will just need some big suckers for the bottom mounts.

Can you cut, drill and bash stuff with a hammer? If so just get some flat plate about 20mm wide and 1.5-2mm thick and long enough to fold over both sides of the spring at the base and just bolt it to the diff. You can do the same at the top but have a second piece on top of the spring hat, so you bolt the piece holding the top of the spring to the piece on the top of the spring hat. If you fold the ends over the spring it will hold the bracing in place.

On my vitara I used fencing wire to hold the springs in by tying them onto the bottom. You may need to drill a hole in the spring mounting plate or similar.

how far from the spring tower to the spring before it pops out... ? (hope that question was understandable.. just woke up)
if off by too much then you're better off thinking of cones .. or gettin some shorter travel shocks.
If its off by a inch or so.. cones/zip ties.. or if you're handy with a welder... brace em down with some steel.

by not not
or mmmmmmm just a thought get some longer but a softer rate spring as it sits at the same hight when level but wont pop when at full travel
