GQ rear springs - confused !!!!!

ok, as you may all know i have fitted nissan GU rear springs to the paj. got myself 4" of lift.
the problem is, i am tending to think that it is too high.
worried about long term wear and tear on uni joints / bushes etc, legalities of being raised 4" (2" max allowable in SA, without being engineered).

now it has been mentioned many times that GQ rear springs give a lower lift(approx 2"). i have been to the wreckers and checked all their GQ springs (lwb & swb) and found them all to be the same as the GU springs. ie. 450 long and 17 diameter wire(std paj 400 long 16 wire).

i believe grumpy221 has fitted the gq springs ?? any coment on the lift achieved?
i would realy like some comment from people that have used the gq springs as i am looking into getting new 2" raised springs in the near future.
cheers

Cookie, you also need to count the number of turns of wire in the spring. Fewer turns makes the wire shorter, effectively stiffening the spring.

Good luck,

I spoke to my 4x4 machanic about this and he told me that the GQ and GU were the same rated spring. So I stayed away from this Idea.
Just give Nissan a ring ,they should tell you if they are the same rated spring or not.
