I think you will fry the wiring , chilli .
Those wire are very small ,mine has been done with a manual lockup
micro switch, and led light, and some sort of resistor or somthing in the wiring.

You need to remember that the Lock-up on a standard T/700 transmission also has 2 earth over rides in the way of a 4th gear switch and temperature switch which are both attached to the valve body. But if wired up properly should work once the transmission has warmed up and only in 4th gear.
Is the transmission in a 4 wheel drive or street car? If it's in a 4 wheel drive then contact me and I can fill you in on all the details. We also have a Manual Lock-Up Control Kit that manages the Lock-Up. You can have the lock-up come on and off by it's self in forth gear, Turn the kit off completely when required and also turn the lock-up on at will in 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears. The one kit does the lot. The switches we use are also illuminated and the kit comes complete with all the wiring including internal wiring and solenoid.
If the valve body is modified the same kit will also lock-up in 1st and reverse as well as 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
Hope this helps.
