Thanks to 00ZUK, we will now be starting a build up of a LWB zook (when we gradually get around to pick it up)
.
As we will be using Grumpy as the donor vehicle (cab/motor/gearbox only), i need info on what would be the best way to cut the SWB into an extra cab and keep it tidy so it can be sealed.
Any pics of this being done or pics of a finished project would be great.

why not just keep the whole hardtop as it is and just cut out the wheel arches move them to where the wheels sit on the LWB.

What about cutting off behind the front doors and just in front on the back door, then meeting the back cut up with the front cut. You would get a nice big back window for vision and you would also get a couple of small side windows behind the doors. Did what I said just make sense or is this where I just shut up

search pirate, theres a thread on there about cuttin a swb into an extra cab. but isn't your cab twisted? that'll make lining it back up to get a custom window in the side fun

Yes the rear of Grumpy's cab is a lil twisted as antt knows, maybe we'll have to source the rear of another zook and go from there but it might just work, time will tell.
I think we'll pass on the side windows though.
I'm going Bundera front diff and Izuzu rear

Yeh it makes sense, this is the actual plan minus the side windows, just wanting to find some different examples of how it's been done, any faults that ppl have come across and any pics
