hey would you use 37" tyres as a daily driver ... or just to much u reckon?
the 35's just look so small on the GU so was thinking of going to 37's what are your thoughts...
i think they'll just be too big and chew through to much diesel.

I have 36" tires,(measure 37") on my modified GQ 2,8 TD.
It is Interco Trxus STS Radial 36x14,50x15".
Looks very good on the truck, but my 2nd. set of wheels, 35" Fulda MT on 10" alloys is much better to drive, lighter and easier to balance.
I have heard that 37" Pro-Comp X-terrain are a good tire.
Since you have TD42T, bigger tires is no problem.

You'll attract unwanted attention, plus you'll be wasting a decent set of 37's on the road. I was thinking of doing it also getting some 37" creepy crawlers but I think i'll do it a bit smarter and keep smaller tyres on road and bigger for off. I may change my mind though

something is really enjoyable about driving above the lil b*steds in sydney.

i currently use 37 creepies as daily driver and yeah they look tough, but i'm wasting heaps of cash on fuel and tyre wear
So this week i'm buying some 35's for the road. 37 Goodyear mtrs would be ok i think.
just the aggressive bias plys i would advise against unless you only drive 5-10min a day

I run 38 TSL swampers as an everyday driver. Run em till they wear out and get a new set. Those who are scared of the man in blue should stay home and knit scarves

sik,
what sort of wear are you getting,
how many km's do you do a day?
i'm not worried about the blue boys, just how quick bias tyres wear on the road

hard to say, on average about 20km a day i guess. i would do a tank(about400km) a week as i go away most weekends either 4x4ing or dirtbike riding. I have found the Bias Claws to wear out the quickest, then the Centipedes i had before these TSLs. These swampers have done about 1500km and are showing very minor wear, except for a lug i half sliced off on a rock last weekend. The Lugs on these are real big compared with a pede and im real happy with the way they are going. They are absolutly awesome in the bush. Drove Ellis track the other week in the wettest of conditions and cleared as well if not better than another GQ with us with Boggers on. great tire.

Mine are 38x12.5x15 they cost me 500 a tire plus i have em on Reverse offset rockcrawler rims 15x8 which were a futher 130 a rim. but are an awesome combo they are nearly impossilbe to break the bead cause of the huge lip(bead) on this rims. I run them at 10PSI with Simex tubes and have had no troubles at all. Although i have only had it out with these wires 3 times in the bush. but twice was up Ellis track and the other up at Toolangi, so they got a good work out but never looked like coming off the bead, I was looking for a set of 37 creepys. are you wanting to sell yours?
