FEROZA RESCUES HILUX

these pics are of my little feroza pulling out a dualcab hilux wihout the hilux running, because of the angle he couldnt pick up fuel so it died. HILUX MODS: v8 conversion, lift, big wheels

awesome - one thing though, you shouldnt recover in reverse if you can help it.

Yep, I was going to point that out as well. The reverse gears are straight cut, which are not quite as strong as forward gears. Always try to snatch forwards.

I have recovered 2 landcruisers and a bundera with my little weapon
But I have been bogged 3 times and been recovered by tractors
Also been recovered by a Mitsubishi Triton

my mighty 40 series cruiser on 33's was pulled out (well off the hump that it was ballancing on) by dangerous_dave...
thought i'd get in before he did... thankfully no pics

I've been pulled out in my stocky rocky more times than i like to admit (think i stoped counting after about 16!! and have only had it since feb
)... having said that, its has gone evrywhere that my friends 6"lifted GQ Patrol has gone, with few exceptions - just takes longer and i get more panel damage
+ today i went through a boghole that he chickened on (xcuse was didnt wanna get amps wet
, had water up to my ankles, and in the deepest part the waterline went half way up my spare
, only pics are on phone though
]
110% amazed at what hatsu's can do, even stock

My 92 snowpak has pulled this Turkey out a number of times. The last was when his clutch failed while out bush

Just a minor correction to the "don't recover in reverse" theory... it not the gearbox thats the issue its the high pinion front diff.
This is a well doccumented issue and is inherent in any high pinion design - so its a good idea to avoid it for that reason.
