Vacuum Locker Help

I have a cacuum locker on a 3.9 centre, and was wondering how you put this on to the 4.1 centre. do you remove the R&P gears off the two centres and swap or do you pull the locker off the 3.9 and put onto the 4.1?

Pull the locker off the 3.9 and put in the 4.1 centre. Dont need to touch the pinion then, only the side bearings and backlash.

does it matter that the 4.1 centre is a limmo?
