Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Can anyone tell me if all the five speed boxes are interchangeable. Mine is making a hidious noise in 2nd, 3rd & 5th and a bloke down the road has an older model for sale wiyh a five speed but I think its a 4 cylinder. Will the box fit if i swap bell housings?

No it won't work because the 2.6 5sp box (KM145) has a fixed bellhousing that is integrated into the gearbox assembly. The 3.0 V6 5sp box (V5MT1) has a removable bellhousing.
