Outer Limits 4x4 Board

hey guys,

my names dean and iv been cruising the forum for only a couple of months i think, maybe weeks, either way im a noob and i have been increasingly interested by your antics and have decided to sell my fully sick lancer, typical body kit, wheels, exhaust affair and have finally purchased myself a 94 model NJ SWB!!! iv asked a few questions, you guys have been great, and i searched and searched and today payed 8500 for the little beast, it has the 3L v6, manual, 31" cooper st's, roof racks, flares, and well thats about it i think, as soon as i saw the SWB paj's i wanted one, and have finally bought one. soon to be will be a 2" body lift illmbe making myself, and then a 2" suspension lift with maybe LWB paj coils, or patrol coils, or 2" SWB coils, well see ill prob do the LWB coils first and see how we go heres a few pics and ill put a few more in the readers ride section, champions, hope to meet up with u guys, my new hunting ground will be the wattos, yengo, parr state and well see what else, hopefully u guys can show me some places to go, i think ill be catching up with miyagi soon

hahahaha yeh its not the size mate, thanks heaps, ill be psyched to see what its doing in 12 months too, my previous car iv only had for like 14 months and that got shitloads done to it from stock, hopefully VERY soon the 2"s/l, 2"b/l and thatll do til tyres wear out then some 33's, and from there i dunno, ill let u guys guide me and see where we end up, really really keen to get some of the guys a bit closer together and mayeb go for a wheel and have a chat in person and learn something

Looks pretty good indeed.

However, before you get carried away with lifting it sky high and fitting monster tyres, its probably better that you learn to drive it properly. In its present form its most probably more capable than your ability. When you out live its stock ability, then its time to rubber, lock and lift.

Sound advice but... We all know this thing will be rubbered lifted and locked well before klrevo has come even close to learning his limits... I know I listened to my mates sage advice and then selectively removed all the responsible bits from my brain, went out and rolled my Rocky... Most all the blokes I've come accross did the same thing. All I can add is, if you're going to roll a 4by, do what I did and make sure it's in sand... Softer than rocks...

If your new to the scene my advice is to find a good local 4x4 club, do some driver training and go out with experienced guys who are willing to show you the ropes. Also supplement this with social offroad trips with some experienced forum wheelers.

thanks guys, yeh nah definitely the first thing im doing is going to a central coast 4x4 club meeting and finding what the go is if they run anything, otherwise i hear lots of good things from the blue mountains 4wd club and then im thinking whatever i cant gain from that ill do a training course with the likes of OOT, 4wd off road driver training, aussie off road experience, something like that, if any of u guys can recommend thatd be great, im really keen to get in and learn the basics first, i read about fourbies 24/7 trying to learn techniques and what not, get more info and insight, and iv been talking to ppl, got a few relos go 4wding heasp, just trying to get everythign from as many angles as possible before i go out so then ill be understanding and confident, yet know my limits and hopefully work up from there, and as far as OL goes, i rekon it does pretty alright, even with some of the so called "shit" lately
