Heater Hose

I am trying to but some heater hose for a Nisaan Patrol today but are not sure of the diameter. Can someone tell me if 15.9mm is right?
yes 5/8" 16mm

Just wondering how people that have replaced their heater hoses managed to reach them. 
Its a GQ with TB42(carb) and the hose that needs replacing is located under the inlet manifold.
Mine has sprung a leak a couple of days ago. I dont know how the hell I can get to the bloody things!
