Outer Limits 4x4 Board

hey fella's,
Ive done the front, by raising the mouting points on the brackets 50 mm but im a little stumped what to do for the rear kaymar bar, is the best thing to do just weld a new piece of metal to the existing metal mount and redrill the mounting holes 50mm higher. Any pics would be great.

When I had a Kmar rear I left the height alone. It still looked OK and protected the rear q panels better.
I made up a new ally step cover that had a right angle up the back to cover underbody gap.

Well if the qrt's are goign anyway I would just leave it alone and sell it and start again. As you aint going to be able to lift it that much and still be able to open the rear doors. Unless you plan on cutting the qrt's of the body and making wrap around corners for he kaymar.

yes i am welding on wrap arounds on the kaymar, the old quarts get hammered so some nice 4mm steel items will fix it , can you help me with lifting it?

has anyone got any other ideas, ive been told that welding to, or drilling the chassis needs an engineers certificate.

I never had an issue being caught up on the bar. The sides act very well as a slider as required. Rear sills never took a hit on lots of hard 4 wheeling. Why do you need to remove yours?? Just a question... each to their own..

It must be just me, ive taken quite a few hits on the rear sills, and they have about 3 kgs of bog in them to keep em straight, and the reason i want to lift the bar is for the same reason, so it doesnt take as many hits, and so it looks neat, also just a question, do you have heavy duty sill protectors(steps) and if so how did you attach them to the chassis

why dont you make a tube rear bar, and sell me the kaymar
easier to make fit with tube, although, I think they look cheap..
