How to get plug out of block?

My rear sump turned up today for my 1UZ  But since the motor had a mid sump on it I have to move the dip stick to the other position at the rear of the block. How the hell do I get the pressed in stud out of the hole?

No I can`t just knock it all the way threw like I was thinking to start with. Before I even tried this I removed the dip stick tube (from the front posiotion) to check the hole to see if this was doable but its not as the hole gets smaller before it gets bigger, it has a small lip in there to stop the dip stick tube on  .

No I can`t put a long rod up from the bottom as the hole/passage in the block that the dip stick runs down goes vertiacl for about 60mm then bends and goes about another 120mm before its to the top where the plug is.

:bad-words: :bad-words: What can I do???????

Hope that makes sense :?

Even If you did this and didn't want to use it again ( due to it being damaged) you would have it to make another one.

Thanks guys but I had another look at the lip, it was tinny as tinny can be. So I got the shits and tried tapping the plug all the way threw. It went easy as with only the smallest of smallest taps, when it got to the lip it only needed slightly bigger small taps to go past it. Put some gaskit glue on the plug and dropped it in the old hole and then knocked it down to sit on the lip. Hopefully it is ok. To farking late if it isn`t  but it is Toyota tough and on top of that Hilux`s are unbreakable :D

maybe look at one at a toyota dealer to see how they are retained. That should shed some light on how to remove it.

An`t that the truth

I`ve now hit another problem, I have no where to mount the pickup end of the oil pickup :bad-words: aswell as a stud I can`t get out

Time to give up trying to get the sump on tonight before I fark it completely

Phone calls tomorrow and maybe a mechanic mate to come around after work and do it for me
