I to have run mine on inside of rail.
Only problem with that is the front swaybar mount that bolts to the chassis had to be removed to get the exhaust down.
I did not have a problem with this as I had removed the bars anyway, but just worried if one day for some reason I have to put them back on I can't.
Was this the case for other people

Ive got a sinlge mild steel 2 1/2 with all factoy mufflers and resinators removed, in their place is a 22in baffled muffler 2wards the rear. ive had the pipe work modified to sit tight up underneath between the sill and the chassis to enable the install of sliders i made myself. does the job and looks the biz. havent done the extractors as the price i was given was too much ($600) but have since found cheaper so will do later. it sounds good & goes better.
guzzla wrote:i had a straight thru muffler at first but it got the better of me. it sounded like an old datto being thrashed and droned severly. after finally blowing the rear baffle i changed it for some new hi tec one thats done the biz. will find out the name if anyone is interested.
If you could, that would be great thanks guzzla
How much room is there between the transfer case & the chassis?? I would like to do this to my 75, as I want to fit come decent sliders, but the gap for an exhaust is minimal.RV wrote:Mine too. But use 105 series extractors as they run on the inside of the chassis rails. Unlike 80 series that go on the outside, easier to make sliders with 105 series pipes.crankycruiser wrote:I ve extractors and 2 1/2" Zorst and mine loves it.....
There is also a sensor on the transfer case that I would have thought would get in the way.

Guys
I had extracters and a 2.5 system with middle and rear resonators and it sounded like a vl commodore with a sports exhaust.
Cheapest way to go is to cut out the 2 into 1 behind the front wheel and put something descent there,(there is hardly and hole after both pipes are squashed into the one) and change the middle muffler for a offset piped one.
You dont need it to be straight through, just free up the flow a bit / the 4.5 is loud. These two areas are where the most restriction is, both front and rear resenators are straight through....i cut them up and looked.
The pipework is minimum 2.25 in std and stainless....
