LPG on 4.5 and 4.8 motors

Is it really worth converting these motors to LPG ? Has anyone just done a straight gas conversion ? or are they all dual fuel ? Heard straight gas was more economical than dual fuel, because with dual fuel it is a compromise when tuning. What size gas tank do you use on a GU ? How many km's from a tank? What is the best system to use? What about gas research carbys? How much to supply and fit? Do you really need to modify the heads ie. valves, valve seats, guides on these motors? Sorry about all the questions but it is a lot cheaper and easier to find a low k Gu 4.5 / 4.8 than a 4.2t diesel. Thanks for any help.

straight gas

I ran straight gas research on a 350chev patrol. It gains about 5-10% more hp on gas research carbs. One things for sure, you really have to PLAN your trips and fuel ups carefully. Also be VERY wary in sub zero temps as when the lines freeze it is a PITA to rectify. IMHO I would stick with dual fuel. Best off both and more range. Clearance may be an issue on none lifted trucks.

Yes the tuning is an issue however it can be slightly better rectified than stock if you take it to a reputable gas joint.

As far as I am aware the nissans don't benifit greatly from vale seat replacement.
