Hi guys,
Anyone able to tell me what diameter/pitch/length the studs in the hilux diff housing are?
I stripped a couple
Yeah, I
could go outside and look, but I'm scared of the dark.
Would Supercheap or Repco have em?
Cheers,
Benno

I just fixed a couple on my 60 that were stuffed too.... leaking diff oil from the bottlm of the housing where 2 of the studs were stripped.
Went to toyota and got some from there... with nuts... wasn´t too expensive but worth giving them a call. (I´d give you the prices that I paid only I can´t get my hands on the paperwork right now... I´m in Brazil at the moment!!!!

You may find that diff oil will seep along the threads of the bolts.
Studs have got the middle section with no thread that seals into the housing.
Just something I was told not sure how true it is.

Best thing is you dont have to screw the M7's in Tony they just push straight in instead.
Bit of gasket goo and your done!
