nissan safari are they reliable

looking at buying one 1992 4.2 petrol 5 speed low roof 179000k's $12,000
They are pretty much identicle to the std patrol. Only diferrece is they have 24v and 12 v on them. But this may not be the case with a petrol.
And even with the dual system many people seem to be happy with them.
