I have a Pioneer MP3, and the book says "Max Current Consumption 10.0 A". I assume this is if you are pumping near full volume though.

Why dont u just connect the stereo to one battery ie 12v, then u wont need the converter. I did that to my MQ (24v). A lot simpler.
