GQ Gearbox rebuild question

Anyone know what it's worth to rebuild a 5 speed out of a TB42 bearings are noisey and the stereo is up as loud as it goes

u sure its the gearbox thats makin the noises?

100% sure. Had a mechanic drive it today after adjusting the tappets. He said it could be OK for years or it could just give up. He was going to find out the cost of parts and get back to me.

between $1000 to $2000 depending if any gears or shafts are damaged..

Thanx for the info guys gives me a ballpark figure to work with.
I'll think about that box for $750......it's done more kms than mine though. An option nonetheless, will keep you in mind.
