Does anyone here use a aftermarket steering wheel, like Autotechnica or Momo etc? Can you still get boss kits for Sierra's? I have standard a 1998 GTi Suzuki Swift steering wheel at home, wondered if it would fit? Otherwise I'll try and get a aftermarket one! The standard one is the size of a hoolahoop!!!

Ive got an autotechnica woodgrain cheapy, easy to clean. Should still be able to get boss kits.

Just remember the smaller the wheel the greater effort required to turn it (less leverage). Might be an issue with bigger tyres unless you have power steer.

yeah, you can still get em, $80 at repco or super cheap, but they'll probably have to order one in.

Thanks - I plan on running big tyres once the SPOA conversion is done and power steering as well eventually! I just want a standard size steering wheel instead of a sailing boat wheel!!

the early model swifts and sierras have the same bosskit i think (look into it) so a standard swift steering wheel should fit (well maybe a 89-94 to be safe)
i backed out of getting a woodgrain one simply because it obstructed view of the gauges (amazing the diff between 14 and 13.5 inches) and i figured it be a magnet to an irrate officer.. i am just getting my wheel leather trimed when my left fingers are working again
Bit of Bling and i'll see how it goes with pwr steering

Success - I bought a red BOSS sports steering wheel on Saturday from Auto1 for $50 on sale reduced from $156. Boss kit had to be ordered $75.
14 inch diameter! Supacheap steering wheels started at $104 - $400 + boss kit. I'm a happy camper!!
Just got to wait for the boss kit to arrive and put it on, then it won't feel like i'm driving a bus!
Thanks everyone for there input - was very useful!

The Mark I swifts have the same boss kit. I am using a swift (87) GTi steering wheel on my 83 SJ410.
