Zuk upgrades
Zuk upgrades
Had a couple of weeks off, due to a new addition to the family, so what better way to spend it than doing a couple of mods to the zuk.
Wacked on some new 15x7's and GT Radial Savero 31x10.5 M/T's, fabbed up a snorkle, bent out spring clamps and fitted longer brake lines.
Stoked with the tyres. Took it for a quick run up at bells rapids last weekend. Still got bogged a couple of times but made it much farther than what I would have done before.
The brake lines and spring clamps have made a difference to the amount of flex, not fantastic but certainly better than what it was. Looks like Iam running out of shocks now.
Anyone have a similar set up?? What shocks are you using
Inside of tyres are just rubbing on leaf springs. Anywhere in Perth I could get wheel spacers I only need about 10mm.

Not bad. lot better than before.
I will have to come out your way sometime. was out there on the weekend.
I am using hilux front shocks and mitsu l300 shocks on rear. i need longer brake lines but i know. Best way to disconnect shocks and ramp it and measure what you need. I did not have time too do mine so got shocks that were longer than the zook lifted ones.
cheers

I bought some vit brake lines from suzishop. They were $15ea and are heaps longer than the standard zuk ones.

I will try and take sum close up pics of the snorkle over the next couple of days. Cost me about $60 all up. Purchased the air ram head for $35 from Detroit motors and had the guy who fitted my extractors and zorst bend and weld up some 2" tube for $20.CHOPS1 wrote:Looks great!
Do you have any pics and details of the snorkel?
I'm tossing up wether to make one or buy one.
Chop
I would go slightly bigger tubing if I did it again.

Nah. Jay sold his Zuk and arent I giving him a hard time about it. The guy who bought went out the next day and camouflaged it with spray packs. It was one of the cleanest zuks around. Brake lines were front off a vit. Bolted straight on. Heaps longer so have pointed the little metal elbow straight up then curled the line back down towards the brakes. Used little bracket to hold the line against the chassis. Still plenty left over for flex. From suzukishop in cannington.
