VW 1.9 TDI

As volkswagen is introducing the golf 1.9TDI to Oz, Has someone thought about fitting one of those donks into a sierra???
I have seen that conversion on the internet in other countries, but here was very hard as they weren't available. Very interested in that one. They will start to get available soon in the wreckers an the salvage auctions (very low K's too).

I have a strong feeling that this is just the diesel engine offered since about year 2000 in the Suzuki lineup. (In civilized countries, that is).

Suzuki has been using the Peugeot 1.9TD motor in the grand vitaras. Its been available in peugeot and citroens for about 15 years. Nice engine.

I believe that both Renault and Peugeot diesels have been available in O/S markets.

Well in Spain they have used both Peugeot and Renault for the Samurais (sierra).
