The GU's are 200kg heavier than a GQ.

I just weighted my comp car, GQ MWB...Without:
- spare tire
- gasoil
- passengers
- tools
- pull-pall

...wight 2620 kg!!!! Which means that in the comp the car weights 3100 kg...

I just came from the Translivania Adventure Trophy 2005 and I start to cutt things off the car....

My GQ LWB with ARB winch & bull bar & full steel roof rack weighs 2.45 tonne.

GU ST Coil Cab ute with Steel Tray, bars, dual batts ,winch , etc etc

full of fuel 2.82Tonnes

mine weihes in 2.8 as well

some of the kitted touring GQs in the club are 3.5t.... yes over..

how much would you save running f/glass or kavlar bonnet,guards and doors?

mine weighs 2100 with 39's, no bonnet, airfilter, ally on tray.

Tuff355 you would most likly save 60 to 80 KG's running Kevlar. I am not sure about fibre glass as GQ guards are light to start with.

My dual cab GQ with bare alloy tray weighs in at 2.23, only weight altering extra's are alloy bar which is lighter than the factory steel bumper & triple batterys.

On alt.fan.landrover a few years back & still aus.cars.offroad sometimes, but I've gone Nissan now

Used to have a 68 S2A Ex Army then 76 Rangie

I doubt it's stock seeing the best I can get my dual cab to weigh with lightweight tray was 2200, and Nissan is quoting 2 tonne for a trayless GU ute.

Engine & gearbox missing perhaps?
