What is the Ironman Suspension like, has anyone used it at all?

I didn't vote but to say all Ironman Suspension kits are crap is not fair at all.
I know of some good stories and some bad like with other kits.
A lot of issues are to do with owners expecting too much and perhaps not communicating properly with the retailer their specific requirements.
To be honest the happiest owners I've seen mixed & matched their own kits after doing the research and talking to others.
IMHO matched generic kits are always going to be somewhat of a compromise on an IFS vehicle.

mate im a mix and match kinda guy my self. im just hunting around the forums a bit to work out the best and cheapest way i can lift my 89 lwb paj so i can stop useing the front bash plate like a bulldozer every where i go lol i realy need bigger rubber and for that i need a body lift. it goes on and on but for a truck i got for $250 bucks its gotta be on the cheap.

Thanks for replying guys, its really appreciated. I have had no end of trouble trying to find information on my IO. Kings have said they will make a kit if I send the original springs to them but as the Io is effectively my only vehicle, that makes life difficult. The original springs have sagged by approx 40-50mm both front and rear due to age (6 years) and bullbar, towbar, load etc. These Ironman springs aren't meant to lift it a lot (30mm above standard and be approx 25% heavier duty, designed to be used with OEM shocks) but that is really quite a way off of what they are at the moment. My main issues are that it (sag) has thrown the camber out of wack on the front end causing the front tyres to chew out and to stop the bash plate being used as a dozer blade to an extent. Also was told by a couple of sources that you cant lift them any more than 30mm above standard or it will start destroying the front end

At the end of the day it needs new springs and the ironman stuff is a hell of a lot cheaper than OEM. Even if it only works out a bees whisker better than OEM, I'll be in front by a long shot. I am the sort of person to mix and match myself but I appear to have very little choice. I would have liked it if the people who put in the poll had explained some reasons but cant help bad luck. 40-50mm is a shite load of sag! springs setttle but they dont fatigue and sag that bad!
At the end of the day, you have to face that you have an soft offroader with low range thats fully independant... Unless a company is going to make money out of tooling a kit, they arent going to bother with it. If ironman have made up a kit for your vehicle, and its the only one out there, then you might aswell try it. Its only money...
30mm might not sound like much, but if you gain back the astonishingly high amount of sag, then your looking at 3" or more of lift over current. Thats plenty if your not going to be doing rockcrawling!

This was measured against another Io a mate of mine owns so that may explain part of the discprepancy, but at the end of the day it has sagged a huge amount. You are right, its gonna make a huge difference over what is like at the moment and I will never being rock hopping in it...... I'll leave that for a zook I plan to build once the house is sorted. I will be biting the bullet and we will see how it goes!!
