Hey bought some monroe GT gas shocks for my zook (front shocks) there brand new picked them up for $55 on ebay not sure if there good or not..

SHOCK SPEC: PIN TOP - LOOP BOTTOM CLOSED 256mm OPEN 415mm

Thats there specs.. will they fit on a stock 1987 sierra?

They sound like they should be fine for stock suspension. I have 2" suspension with the cheap long travel shocks that come with it and they open to about 470mm (from top of piston to centre of loop thingy on bottom)

In saying that if you have any plans to upgrade the suspension then you will way longer travel shocks than those. My lift kit is not even a year old and Iam already looking for longer shocks.

By the way Super Cheap Auto (WA) currently has 20% off their Gabriel line of shocks. They have some longer travel shocks for about the same price.

is it bad to mix and match?

i already bought those for the front.. can i get gabriel ones for the rear? and it be fine?

Should be fine. Iam probably going to Gabriels for the front of mine. Few guys on the board run diff shocks front to back.

By memory I used to run camira shocks in the front of mine and triton shocks in the rear. these suited about 3-4' of lift and a fair bit of travel for a spua car
Its a wheelbase thing
