Want to order some 15x7 Speedy Desert Rat rims for the zook.
Have had a look on the site and spoken to a couple tyre places. Can't make out exactly which rims I need from the site and the tyre places just don't listen when I talk to them.
Does anyone know which rims I need to get that has maximum offset to be able to run 33/9.5/15 tyres on a wide tracked narrow track configeration zook without scrubbing.
I have been told that speedy rims is the way to go but I don't want to get the wrong ones....

just ask for the desert rat rims for suzuki/f100/early jeep in 15x7"... tell them you want them as offset as possible - as when i got mine (last year) there were 2 offsets available.
i got mine through local tyre/mechanic outfit for $55-60ea - and then i got em powdercoated in same silver as stock zuk for $100.

james do you want rims that will give you the same stance as a wide track on a narrow track Zuk. Or do you have wide track diffs under a narrow track Zuk and want rims for that.
If it is the first I might be selling my rims if I can confirm the delivery of some new rims I'm waiting on

Thanks Graham but I am installing wide track diffs with narrow track spring mounts.
I need a rim that will give me enough clearance with a 33/9.5 tyre fitted so that I don't hit the chassis on full lock.
I think your rims would make the tyres stick out past the guards and would not be very bearing friendly........That and the fact the amount of trimming to get tyre to fit would be HUGE!!!
What rims you gettin for yours??

hopefully some 15 x 7 alloys, add a bit of bling and to bring the tyres back in a bit

Sorry for quick hijack.
Grimbo,
I'm chasing some 15x7" zook rims for a mate.
PM me your rims specs and price if your alloy deal goes through and we'll see if we can do a deal.
Cheers,
Kris.
EDIT: Just re-read your post. Sounds like you current rims have massive offset. The rims I require will prob need to be stock offset 7"s as they are to go on a WT.

i have 31x10.5 tyres on 15x8 offset cheapo rims, they dont rub except up the firewall area which will be fixed with a mallet soon.
Those were the cheapest rims at the place.
Also my tyres stick out past the gurads about 2"s

I not sure of what offset speedy offer in 15x7, but the biggest you can get in 15x8 is -28. Hope this is of any help.

The 'biggest' offset Speedy does in a 15x7 is -15. I am pretty sure this will work for your application, but I would want to try it out first to be 100% sure.
Get a shop to order one in and try it out.

15 x 7 -15 is the max offset for Speedy's, cost approx. $60 per rim.
I have been looking at all options lately and the other option i'm considering is using my current ROH rims and getting AJAX Wheels in Moorabbin(Melbourne) to modify the offset to exactly what will suit.
Cost for them to cut out centre, flip rim and reweld is approx. $50 per rim.
With the 3" extra track you will get with the WT diffs, -15 offset should be heaps (-15 = approx 25mm wider than stock rim/50mm more to track).
For it to clear firwall, etc. i think it would depend in the lift you have?
Early F100 15 x 8's use a -28 offset, another good option if you can get them - anyone got a spare set???

I think it sounds all too hard and you should just let me have those tyres

I think what this topic is missing is a major razzing for James for contemplating fitting a tyre as little as a 33x9.5 onto a suzuki that already has a 3" body lift and spring over with 2" lifted springs and 1" lift blocks...
Surely something more like a 235/75/15 is what is required for this vehicle james - particularly if you want to play it safe with little 33's?

Where are you getting these from? I've been looking around, specifically at a few USA sites for alloy and chrome wheels but most of them don't ship to Aus.
I want to get anything similar to the 'Chrome Star' from
Spidertrax with plenty of offset.
Also theres some nice ones
