This one is for sale, in Sweden. Seller showed it to me today.

The engine is broken. His wife was driving and suddenly the temprature raised, but she didn't notice that. After a while the engine died. It's a 6 cyl 2.8 TD. Probably more than just the cylinderhead to swap. Because she drove it 'till it died i will probably have to swap the whole engine.

Do you know if a SD33TD can be installed instead? I have heard that a SD33TD is a way better engine than the 28TD. Does it fit to the gearbox?

Seller want's about US$5500 but i think i will offer him half of that. Maybe he wan't sell it for that price but i can wait.

Exept for the engine (and the ugly brushguard!) the Patrol is in pretty good shape. Only a few scratches. No rust on body. The frame is a bit brown, but no holes as far as i can see. I will check the car more in detail later.

Btw, long time no see! I have made myself a snorkel for my MK! Check it out here:

Year = 1994
Milage: Hmmm... 170000 kilometers

Too bad the SD33 won't marry the 2.8 gearbox.

I have added you as a contact on MSN, i hope that was okay! =)

That's okay ;) Im not on Messenger that often thou ...
It sound a liltle expensive with a blow engine, have you checked what a new engine would cost in Sweden ... they are around 10000 DKR here in Denmark ...

Around 20000 SEK is my limit for this one. He asks 39000 SEK for it.

A used engine is like 10000 SEK here. However, a SD33TD can be found for about 5000 SEK so i would prefer that engine.

looks in good condition!

In reality pretty much any motor can be made to fit any car - depends on how much work and $ you are willing to throw at it...

Gabriel on here is also from over there, he fitted a 6.5 V8 Turbo Diesel Chev if I remember to his.. Now thats a conversion worth lookin at!

Of course any engine can be fitted, but i think i want the car to still be a Nissan! Of course, a GM 6,5 TD with a four speed autotranny would be a great conversion, but that engine will cost slot of money or it will breakdown shortly after installing it.... :lol:

I will see the seller next week, so until then i will just sit back and wait and let him think i'm not that intrested!
