EFI - Vitara or Swift ?

Alright from what I've been able to gather this is a relatively easy way to convert to EFI. Of course I know its not exactly simple in reality.
It involves using the intake manifold, loom and computer from a TBI engine from either a Vitara or Swift.
So I was just wondering if you guys thought one sounded better.
Apparently you can use the gear off a Vitara - G16A or a Swift - G13, not sure if A or B.
Problem with the Swift is it'd probably be harder to track down as they're overseas model from what I've gathered, might even have to import. But I personally thought the Swift one might go on easier and more suited to the engine.
I am possible planning on supercharging it though, assuming I can get this idea to work.

both will work.
both bolt strait on.
swift singlepoint was avail in aus and should not be hard to find.
very very few vitaras were avil in singlepoint in aus , so most likely will be imported. and usually without the loom or ecu.
the 1.6 will give you enough fuel on a 1.3 to supercharge it.

Swift EFI onto Vitara/Sierra

I just purchased a Swift 1.6 sedan (G16A), and I'm gonna put the EFI on my Vitara, as it's using WAYYY too much fuel (approx 15L/100km).
It's a 1990 model, but it's the sedan, not teh hatch, so it's already a 1.6 motor.
It sounds like I might have to take pics and put it on here for all to see.

Adam

if multi point is an option, why would you choose single point injection?

Because the multipoint requires a different head as well as a different manifold?

Yeah... I was told that the carby & efi Vitara) motors have different shaped ports. One apparently has round & the other square.
I'm hoping that's wrong, but I'll letcha know as soon as I pull the manifold off the EFI car.
I don't really care either way as I'll just use the EFI car's head if they are different, but it may be an issue you have to deal with in your conversion.

Can't see for TBI why port shape would need to change. for multipoint injection definately - there's usually a cutaway to get the injector as close to the valve and as well aimed as possible - found that in datto engines for example but for TBI it's just a semi-high-tech carby replacement.
Difference that far from the injector as far as the flow or atomisation is gonna be zip.

I want TBI for the reason beastmavster said. I just want a bolt on replacement. Don't wanna stuff around with heads and that.
I thought it was the over way round. I thought a TBI vit would be easier to get.
As for supercharger my mates dad has the same supercharger as yours lying around in his garage. Might buy it off him if I decided to go for it.

That's a fair point Beastmavster.
I'm beginning to wish mine didn't have P/S and A/C so I had somewhere to poke a supercharger too!
*sigh*
